EZRAspberry Lemonade Slushies - Star Wars Rebels Party Drink

For Blueberry's Diehard Fans - Star Wars Rebels Party Drink - Ezra's EZ Raspberry Lemonade Slushies Recipe and Label

In Appreciation of the Blueberry Squad!

For all of the fans of "Blueberry" AKA Ezra Bridger from Star Wars Rebels, I have a special drink for the Series Finale along with a way to make Ezra decals for your cup.

While there are no blueberries in the recipe, I did use blueberries in the garnish to show respect to your adoration of Ezra! Y'all have cracked me up over the last few years with your "blueberry" quotes. I have loved it and I'll miss that as much as the show.

Fresh Squeezed Lemons for the Slushies
I created the EZ Raspberry Lemonade Slushies AKA Ezraspberry Lemonade Slushie (also known as slushy, icee, freezee, etc).

It was a huge hit with the family...everybody wanted seconds. Honestly, I wasn't certain how it would taste mixing lemonade and milk, but this is delicious.

To top it off, we had Star Wars Rebels Herashey's S'mores alongside for dessert. I couldn't do both, as it's too much sugar for me, but I had a bit of the slushy.

Now if you are a busy mamma and don't have time to make these slushies, you can buy pre-made Raspberry Lemonade and partially freeze it, shaking it every 30 minutes until it's a consistency you like. Or pour the Raspberry Lemonade into ice cube trays and use it to make a slushie in your blender. The best substitute if you can find it, use Minute Maid Raspberry Lemonade frozen concentrate (as is) and ice cubes in the slushie recipe as described.

Ezraspberry Lemonade Slushie Recipe

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups fresh squeezed lemon juice (about 12 lemons)
  • 12 oz fresh raspberries
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 cups water (or 2 cups water and 2 cups club soda)
  • 1 cup confectioner's sugar
  • 2 cups milk
  • Whipped Cream and berries for topping
Directions:

Blended Raspberries Strained Using a Sieve and Ladle
1. Squeeze and strain the seeds and any large pulp from the lemon juice.

2. Blend most of the raspberries (reserving some for topping).

3. Using a fine sieve, strain the juice from the raspberries into the lemon juice. Use the back of a ladle to push it through. You'll have a ball of seedy pulp leftover to use in something else or toss.

4. Warm up the juice slightly, just enough to help the sugar dissolve. Add in 2 cups of granulated sugar to lemon/raspberry juice and stir until completely dissolved.

5. Add 2 cups of water to juice and stir. Place in a freezer safe container and freeze. Stir about once every hour until it's frozen.

When you're ready to make the slushies:

  • Place half of juice mix into blender (or the equivalent: 6 oz Minute Maid Raspberry Lemonade frozen concentrate along with 12 ice cubes)
  • Add 1 cup of water or club soda, 1 cup milk, and 1/2 cup confectioner's sugar.
  • Blend on high until well blended.
  • Pour into 3 Ezra Bridger glasses.
  • Garnish with whipped cream and berries.
  • Repeat with the other half of remaining ingredients.
  • Place on tray with Star Wars Rebels Ezraspberry Lemonade Slushie Drink Label Tent Card.

Recipe makes approximately six 12-16 oz slushies.
